My kitchen...

Once a nightmare from 1983, its now a red retreat dedicated to Fat Italian Chef. This is the only picture I can find at the moment but I will post more.

Completed Tasks:
* Paint walls red
* Replace gold hardware with black iron
* Purchase pictures and clock for walls
* Make curtains thanks to this wonderful tutorial that explains how you can make shades out of blinds. Love it!!!

To Do Items:
* Purchase bistro table set so that we can sit in the kitchen and chat like the almost newlyweds we are while our food is cooking.
* Replace counter tops
* Sand and repaint cabinets
* Add silver sheeting behind stove area
* Replace flooring
* Find rug

The First One...

Hi Folks,

Welcome to our first blog. We are Annie & John and we live in our Four Winds Point Feel free to guess where the name stems from.

We will be using this site to chart our progress in renovating our first starter home, in other words our house of dreams. And dreams we do have for this place. Some outlandish, some simple.

We first bought this house in April 2009. For the past 16 months we have been painting, sanding, kicking, cleaning, clearing, you name it. Each month, it feels more like home. Next I will post a series of pictures to catch you up on where we stand today.
